Must be resident of Fulton or Montgomery counties in the state of New York.

Must be at least 12 and no older than 18 years of age by July 9th, 2022.

One entry per student.

Artwork must be submitted by July 9th, 2022, at AGORA Marketplace at 50 N Main St, Gloversville, NY by close of business.

Submission must be ready to hang on the walls of AGORA Marketplace.

Submissions must be unique, original works.

Size restricted to no smaller than 6 inches by 6 inches and no larger than 36 inches by 36 inches in its final displayed format.

Artist must include name, address, contact phone number, contact email address with their submission.

 

Topic of Inspiration for artwork is Diversity.

 

Any of the following media or techniques may be used:

Paint (watercolor, tempera, poster, acrylic, etc.)

Drawing materials (pencil, charcoal, colored chalk, pastels, oil pastels, colored pencils, markers, etc.)

Photography (must be printed for display)

Collage materials (cut and glued papers, such as construction paper, tissue paper, wrapping paper, aluminum foil, etc.)

Prints (handmade stencils, gadget printing, block prints, etc.)
 

 

 

Copyright Law - Artwork that depicts copyrighted images will not be accepted. For example, no artwork depicting characters from television shows, movies, video games, or books will be accepted. All artworks must be original ideas and created entirely by the student.

 

Students are encouraged to use strong lines and bold colors.

 

Judging based on:

• Originality

• Technical achievement

• Theme

 

Winners will be announced on August 27th, 2022, at a celebratory event 1 – 4 pm.

Submissions will be on display until the end of the event on August 27th, 2022.

Best of Middle School – 6th – 8th Grade ($50 Visa Card)
Best of Lower Classman – 9th -10th Grade ($50 Visa Card)
Best of Upper Classman – 11th – 12th Grade ($50 Visa Card)
Overall Best in Show - ($150 Visa Card)
Most popular - ($100 Visa Card)

Voting rules for Most Popular:
To vote for the most popular, stars must be purchased from Agora. All Proceeds go towards the CFADK Festival of Hope.

Friends and family can purchase 1 pack of stars per day which cost $1.

The artwork that collects the most stars is the most popular. It is encouraged that the artists themselves promote on social media to inspire others to go vote!
